Chateau Margaux

Chateau Margaux, Margaux, Fine Wine Investment, Fine Wine, Wine Investment, Bordeaux Wine, Wine

Chateau Margaux has been a prominent figure in the Bordeaux region for almost 1,000 years and was once reserved for use only by nobility. During the sixteenth century, the property shifted focus from grain to grapes and so began the legacy as one of the world's most famous wine producers, achieving First Growth Status. The estate's reputation and quality were such that it took the name of the appellation, and remains the only Bordeaux wine estate to do so.

Thomas Jefferson, when US ambassador to France once wrote of the 1784 Margaux, 'There cannot be a better bottle of Bordeaux Wine'. Thankfully this reputation has been upheld in the centuries since, with estate still firmly recognised as one of the most consistent producers of superb quality investment grade wine.
