Saint Véran has long had the reputation of being the most undervalued of all Burgundy’s white appellations and was the late Auberon Waugh’s ‘go to’ white wine. We have found a gem here with Croix de Montceau from a south facing parcel of vines found on clay-limestone soil that date back to the Jurassic era.
A wonderfully refreshing and exciting Saint Véran with excellent texture underscored by citrus, pineapple and floral flavours with just the right amount of minerality.
